Biography

I'm a technologist who loves to build things in a physical and virtual space.

Studying Multimedia gave me some insight into the interesting aspects of digital creation. I worked as a coder, motion graphics artist for corporate events and video editor. As my technical skills improved, I moved to London in 2005 where I decided to take Flash on full time. I've been building apps over the last few years using various technologies Flash, HTML, JS and more recently HTML5, CSS3 & Android. My site is dedicated to my notes on all subject matter that play a part in my maker creations. This could be as vast as (re)learning some basic math or discovering what a specific physical component does.

Today.

I like to code visual experiences. Usually this originates from open or physical sensor data but could also be an app for a specific device. Currently I use Processing quite a bit while constantly expanding my understanding of OpenGL and OpenGL ES.

Future.

More recently I've been tinkering with Physical Computing. I find Human Computer Interaction very interesting and would like to explore this in a lot more detail using Physical Computing. As part of the data visualization from Physical Computing experiments, I'm currently learning OpenGL and OpenGL for Embedded Devices. Stay tuned for a few upcoming projects I've been commissioned to build using this fascinating mash-up of technologies.

2012 is going to be very exciting indeed.
